Family friendly WOW-type game?

Our family used to play World of Warcraft, but it seems to be not as family friendly as this mom might hope (sorry kids!). I was wondering if there might be anyone who knows of a similar kind of game that might be appropriate for pre-teens. I saw the Narnia games, but they didn't get very good reviews.
