I am trying find a web hosting service...?

obviously I want something at a reasonable price. I also want something that will allow me to use WS_FTP. I do not need all the bells and whistles of SQL Perl etc etc. Just a straightforward reliable service that will host my html with a little bit of java script. Anyone know what is the right choice?
