Mother In-Law from Hell.?

This woman probably tops most horrible mother in-laws. We live in a small town and she is a woman with a high education,great power,and pull. She is well off but she pretends to be the victim in every situation. We have both stood up to her many times and told her that her behavior is unexceptable and if she wants to be a part of our lives she needs to be nice and respectful like we are of her. We have our own house , still it doesn't make a difference she craves drama or something. Her husband just died so that makes it even worse. During her husbands last moments she called us. My fiance had severe bronchitis and was pratically bed ridden but still he wanted to see his dad so we started out the door for a 2 hr trip to the hospital. She told us that if we came to the hospital that she would have us escorted out by security, but blames him for not being there.I have been with her son for many years and we are getting married in a few weeks. She is so jealous and controlling that she wants no part in our wedding and at the same time wants everything to do with it. My fiance was adopted and she has another biological son. Her other son is just as bad as she is, he is a drunk and talks crap about her all the time, he lies to get what he wants. But she still seems to think he is a better son and tells my fiance all the time. On my fiance's birthday she flew to spain to see her other son without so much as a phone call.I can't take it anymore anybody have any ideas?
